Fakeaway Lamb kebabs with Pistachios and Syrup Nectar syrup
This is so simple to make and so comforting whilst a summery dish to enjoy in or out (weather permitting). Took the initial recipe from Jamie Oliver which I have tweaked and changed a little. If you fancy a little different tasting I use my fav seasoning of all time Res El Hanout and that makes up for the below.
400g lean lamb mince
1 tsp garam masala (or Ras El Hanout)
25g shelled pistachios
A few sprigs of fresh thyme
1 tbsp of nectar syrup
How To Make:
1. Pop your mince, seasoning and most of the thyme leaves into a bowl and mix well until all combined.
2. Roll into 12-13 small sausage like pieces then place under a hot grill or better still on the BBQ (chances are slim right?).
3. Once all brown and cooked through, remove them from the heat and drizzle over nectar syrup roughly chop your pistachios and drizzle over too. Mix well and let sit a little while.
4. Once you've done this whip up your side salad, a few pittas and look to enjoy a delish little supper.
